Review: Belif Creamy Cleansing Foam Moist

I crowned Belif Creamy Cleansing Foam Moist my favourite cleanser in 2015 and 2016. In 2017, my favourite foaming cleanser award goes to Celeb Face Sparkling Cleanser since I did not use Belif Creamy Cleansing Foam Moist the whole last year. However, I know I will prefer Belif over Celeb Face if I were to use Belif in 2017.

But recently, I came across a new cleanser created by famous vlogger Liah Yoo - the Krave Beauty Matcha Hemp Hydrating Cleanser, that I think I like better than Belif. So I opened a new tube that I bought last year to see if I still prefer Belif or will shift my love towards Krave Beauty.

Below is my thought after trying both products out side-by-side for a month:

Belif Creamy Cleansing Foam Moist is housed in a soft and squeezable tube. It comes in a soft and creamy paste with a nice herbal scent to it.

The product foams up nicely and gently into rich bubbles that allow easy removal of dirt and impurities. My skin doesn't feel strip or tight at all after cleansing.

You use this after your cleansing oil or water as a second step cleanser. It works better in rich bubbles so I always spend some extra time lathering it into bouncy bubbles before massaging the product onto my skin. Don’t rub the cleanser directly with your skin as it might irritate your skin out! This cleanser has a neutral pH of 6.5-7.0.

INGREDIENTS ANALYSIS

Ingredients-wise, this seems like an ordinary foaming cleanser uses surfactants and foaming agents like myristic acid, stearic acid, potassium hydroxide, and sodium methyl cocoyl taurate. Potassium hydroxide is a skin irritant and is highly alkaline but despite all that I did not experience any uncomfortable or dryness from using this cleanser. But individuals with compromised and thinner skin moisture barrier might want to take note of this before using this. In fact, this cleanser always leave a smooth and silky finish on my skin that is not greasy or oily. Quite contrary, It feels hydrating, which I think is attributable to the hydrogenated polydecene in here.

Basic Napiers original formula like oat kernel, calendula flower extract, catnip extract, raspberry leaf extract, wild indigo, chickweed extract and so on are used here to provide anti-inflammatory and moisturizing benefits for the skin. They can also reduce flakiness associated with dryness and eczema. This cleanser also has soapwort added to it, a naturally occurring cleansing agent that can gently whisk away impurities and reduce acne.

CONCLUSION

I love this cleanser a lot! It is super moisturizing, gentle, and effective at removing any dirt and impurities from the skin without stripping its natural moisture barrier. My skin feels clean, fresh and silky after cleansing. It is not tight or dry, owing to the rich herbal as well as moisturizing ingredients inside. A great and basic cleanser that I would recommend to all skin especially normal to dry skin types!

The difference between Krave Beauty and Belif is that Krave feels special. No other cleanser is formulated the way Liah Yoo make Krave. Krave is a gel texture foaming cleanser made of mostly matcha. Belif, on the other hand, is like the best you can get for a basic foaming cleanser. It is non-stripping or drying for your skin, produces bouncy and rich bubbles, and effective at removing all dirt and impurities. Belif is the best among all basic foaming cleansers that I can get whereas Krave is the best innovative foaming cleansers I can find. It is hard for me to choose because both cleansers are priced more or less the same and feel equally moisturizing for the skin. But of course at this moment I'm more inclined towards Krave because it is still new and fun to use.

In short, I love Belif Creamy Cleansing Foam Moist a lot. I will continue to repurchase even though I am more into Krave right now. Both are great products that are worth checking out!
