Review: The Face Shop Yehwadam Revitalizing Moisturizing Fluid, Cream and Sleeping Mask

After the Chia Seed line, I think I have found myself another favourite hydrating line from THE FACE SHOP that they recently launched. Not only do they smell and feel super refreshing, the hydrating effects are superb as well! Let's take a look at the products one-by-one:

First, we have the Yehwadam Revitalizing Moisturizing Fluid, which is essentially an essence toner. It refreshes and recharges your skin with five different types of fresh flower water. Other extracts such as ginseng, safflower and goji berry are added to restore moisture and natural glow back to your skin, making it appears vitalized and dewy.

The product comes in a convenient pump-top. 2-3 pumps are sufficient to cover your entire face.

The fluid dispenses into milky but runny gel-type lotion that gets absorbed fairly easily into your skin, leaving a satin finish.

Water, Butylene Glycol, Glycerin, 1,2-Hexanediol, Ethyl Isostearate, Alcohol Denat, Glycereth-26, Hydrogenated Polydecene, Panthenol, Paeonia Albiflora Flower Extract, Nelumbo Nucifera Flower Extract, Lonicera Japonica (Honeysuckle) Flower Extract, Chrysanthemum Indicum Flower Extract, Carthamus Tinctorius (Safflower) Flower Extract, Carthamus Tinctorius (Safflower) Seed Extract, Panax Ginseng Root Extract, Lycium Chinense Fruit Extract, Acrylates / C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Xanthan Gum, Tromethamine, Trisodium EDTA, Fragrance

All these products are using the same extracts hence I will just put a summary here. This fluid uses basic moisturizing ingredients like butylene glycol, glycerin, panthenol, and so on. Skin-benefiting ingredients are what THE FACE SHOP called "fresh flower water" - peony flower extract, lotus flower extract, safflower flower & seed extract, chrysanthemum flower extract and finally honeysuckle flower extract. Peony flower is known for its soothing and dark spots reducing effects whereas safflower is commonly added as an emollient with anti-aging benefits. These is also ginseng and lychee extracts added for extra refreshment and sparkling effects. Basically, this is a bottle full of essences with moisturizing and revitalizing benefits derived from botanical extracts.

Next come the Yehwadam Revitalizing Moisturizing Cream:

This is a special gift set that comes with a full size product in tube. Both retails at only RM 170 for 100ml so you can definitely call it a steal!

This is a gel cream that can refresh and moisturize your skin without leaving any stickiness or tackiness. The texture is similar to SU:M37 Waterfull Gel Cream and Belif The True Cream - Aqua Bomb. It is suitable for normal to dry skin. Combination and oily skin might find it a bit "silicony" or "sticky".

I like the fact that it comes with a spatula.

The cream has a blueish colour that reminds me of ocean. Very refreshing and moisturizing!

As for the texture, it is really similar to SU:M37 Waterfull Gel Cream but is on the heavier side, owing to its unique "super-moist network system" that will form a "finely structured moisture barrier" on your skin when it gets fully absorbed. Personally I think this means added moisture for dry/normal skin but more stickiness for oily or combination skin. As such, it is advisable that you try it out before buying if you have oilier skin type.

Again, the "core" are the fresh flower water. The rest are mainly emollients, solvents, and emulsifiers. Macadamia seed oil, shea butter, ceramide, squalane, lecithin, and so on are added for moisturizing benefits. They are the foundation to its “super-moist network system”.

the travel-friendly tube version

Finally, here comes the super hydrating Yehwadam Revitalizing Moisturizing Sleeping Pack.

My favourite sleeping mask has always been Laneige. It smells great, feels super lightweight and hydrating! But sometimes it just doesn't feel enough for my normal-to-dry skin. This yehwadam sleeping pack offers the right sweetpoint that I'm looking for in a sleeping pack.

Texture-wise, it is a super lightweight and quick absorbing gel. It sinks into the skin almost immediately after you smooth it out. There is no stickiness whatsoever left. This is something I would bring with me when I'm travelling outstation for an all-in-one soothing and moisturizing SPA time.

Water, Glycerin, Niacinamide, Dimethicone, Nutmeg Extract, 1,2-Hexanediol, Hydroxyethyphepyrazine Ethane Sulfonic Acid, Dipropylene Glycol, Safflower Seed Extract, Ginseng Extract, Lycium Chinense Fruit Extract, Safflower Extract, Peony Flower Extract, Hydrogenated Lecithin, Butylene Glycol, Raspberry Extract, Sodium Hyaluronate, Lotus Flower Extract, Lonicera Japonica (Honeysuckle) Flower Extract, Chrysanthemum Indicum Flower Extract, Citric Acid, Polyglyceryl-10 Dilaurate, Dicaprilyl Ether, Dimethicone, Aluminum Starch Octenylsuccinate, Ammonium Acryloyldimethyltaurate / Behenes-25 Methacrylate Crosspolymer, Sodium Polyacryloyldimethyltaurate, Potassium Hydroxide, Trisodium Dithiophosphate, Hexyldecyl Myristoylmethylaminopropionate, Acrylate / C 10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Mica, Titanium Dioxide, Red Iron Oxide, Fragrance

The best part about this sleeping mask is the niacinamide in it. This is an ingredient known for its elasticity-improving and dark spots reducing benefits. This is enhanced by the skin brightening and hyperpigmentation-reducing benefits in the fresh flower extract in this sleeping pack - safflower extract, panax ginseng root extract, peony flower extract, and so on. In short, this sleeping pack also helps to reduce your dark spots in addition to its moisturizing and revitalizing benefits.

Honestly I am quite impressed when THE FACE SHOP sent me these babies for review. I have tried many hydrating lines, many of them tend dries down sticky but not this Yehwadam Revitalizing Moisturizing line! Out of all of these, my favourite is the cream, which is a close sibling of my beloved Belif The True Cream - Aqua Bomb and SU:M37 Waterfull Gel Cream. There is also this two-in-one fluid that functions like toner, essence and lotion! The sleeping pack is a great portable soothing gel with excellent hydrating effects that I love!

In short, something that I would definitely repurchase in future!
