Review: Innisfree My Real Squeeze Mask - Rose

Innisfree renewed its Real Squeeze Mask line about a month ago. It has more than 20 flavours now if I am not mistaken, with new flavours like coconut, oatmeal, ginseng, fig, and so on added to the collection. There are basically three major type of essences, which are rich cream type, watery essence type and serum essence type. They also used very thin but firm cellulose sheet as the material.

I bought three flavours - rice, green tea and rose from Innisfree store a few weeks ago. Today, I'm gonna share the rose one that I used. Let's read on to find out more about the upgraded Innisfree My Real Squeeze Mask!

Innisfree My Real Squeeze Mask - Rose is a moisturizing and brightening mask. It is soaked in refreshing watery essence that is not sticky or rich whatsoever. Great for all skin types especially those that is more towards oily skin type.

The mask is made of thin but strong cellulose sheet that is not tearing-resistant. It is not as soft as it was previously though, so if your skin is sensitive you might want to buy one or two to try out first before committing to the entire collection. I personally find the sheet a bit too rough for my skin.

The rose extract here is harvested using cold brewed squeeze method, which means the ingredients are gradually extracted at low temperature to avoid losing essential minerals and nutrients that might be lost from hot heating. It is kinda similar to how Blithe produces its Pressed Serum!

I apply this after toner for 15 minutes. The entire process is decent. I expect something rosy but unfortunately I did not smell anything. The mask is a bit rough though so it is also another setback for me.

Notable ingredients are niacinamide, rose flower juice extract, panthenol, peony root extract, centella asiatica, chamomile flower extract, and some Jeju plant extracts (green tea, orchid, tangerine, and so on). These combination offers a nice skin elasticity improving blend coupled with the soothing benefits offered by panthenol, centella asiatica and chamomile. Overall they target to improve your skin's overall radiance, texture and resilience.

Unfortunately, there isn't anything visible that I see from this mask. My skin is NOT visibly brighter or firmer, nor is it softer or plumper after using. It is also not more moisturized either, which is my basic expectation from a mask like this. I am actually quite disappointed of how little this has to offer.

I am not impressed by the newly improved Innisfree My Real Squeeze Mask - Rose. I think they are NOT as good as the old formulation. The material is too rough for my liking, and it doesn't hold enough essence to really keep my skin hydrated either. And despite fragrance is listed among the ingredients used, I did not smell anything rosy. The mask has a very general cosmetic scent that I don't like.

Will give the green tea and rice ones a try before giving my final judgement.
