Review: The Face Shop The Solution Soothing Face Mask

Actually this mask wasn't in my plan for tonight. I was planning to use the Jayjun Baby Pure Shining Mask. But since I added Nightingale Aqua Peel into my routine, and it tingled a lot, I had to opt for this instead!

The Face Shop The Solution Soothing Face Mask is a newly released facial mask by the brand in 2017. The entire line resembles Innisfree's Skin Clinic Mask. I like both, and I think you guys can give both lines a try if you are interested in using scientifically-proven ingredients on your face.

This mask is made of mainly madecassoside, which is a powerful anti-inflammatory ingredient. It also has other things like panthenol, peony flower root extract, sodium hyaluronate, allantoin and so on to offer moisture-retention and soothing effects. There is no paraben or any harsh chemicals inside.

The mask is made of thin but firm sheet. It holds a handful of clear watery essence. There is a mild herbal scent to it. The scent is soothing and relaxing.

PERFORMANCE

Results-wise, I think this is a great mask for soothing. The tingling and irritation are basically gone 3 minutes with this on. It also feels kinda moisturizing and pampering too. The whole process is pleasant.

CONCLUSION

I have tried the hydrating flavour and was really impressed. This soothing one, despite its obvious soothing effect, lacks the "vow factor" that keeps me hooked. I think unless if I have skin issues or skin sensitivity, this is not something I would use on a daily basis. But I enjoy how it manages to calm and soothe my skin in just 3 minutes. However, given my Pyunkang Yul Essence Toner can probably do the same if I apply it many times, I don't think I will repurchase this particular flavour.
