My September and October 2017 Skincare Favourites

Hi guys! It's our bi-monthly favourite time! I normally don't do a lot of monthly favourites because I will share my favourites from time-to-time on my Instagram. However, since I have got a lot these recent months I want to talk about them here:

  • 3rific Premium Facial Oil
  • Belif The White Decoction -Ultimate Brightening Bubble Mask
  • Belif The True Cream - Water Bomb
  • Blossom Jeju Pink Camellia Soombi Blooming Flower Eye Cream
  • Celeb Face Sparkling Cleanser
  • Dr. Wu Intensive Renewal Serum With Mandelic Acid 18%
  • Hada Labo Kiwamizu Lotion Mist
  • Laneige Eye Sleeping Mask
  • Loveisderma Hydra Max Serum
  • Make P:rem UV Defense Me Blue Ray Sun Gel SPF50+ PA++++
  • Pyunkang Yul Essence Toner
  • The Ordinary Buffet

3rific Premium Facial Oil

This is not technically a monthly favourite. I used it quite frequently these two months because I just received this as a PR gift from 3rific and wanted to give it more try before sharing my honest review on it! This is basically a lightweight oil without any added fragrance. The consistency is similar to Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Concentrate. Both products feel very nourishing and occlusive on the skin. My only complaint about it is the scent. It smells like some kind of funky dead insects that I personally dislike.

Belif The White Decoction -Ultimate Brightening Bubble Mask

This is Belif's newly launched product that I bought last month. It retails at RM 160. It is a sister product to the infamous SU:M37 Bubble Mask that many has raved about so I am curious to try it out. It did a good job deep-cleansing my pores and I am loving it a lot!

Belif The True Cream - Water Bomb

I received this from Belif Malaysia last month as a PR gift and I quickly went to buy another one as backup. This is both my bf and mine cult favourite. It is a lightweight watery essence with a water popping texture that will immediately quench your skin of thirst. It smells like lemon and feels truly refreshing on the skin. Perfect for oily to combination skin or anyone who wants a taste of lemonate in a hot summer afternoon!

Blossom Jeju Pink Camellia Soombi Blooming Flower Eye Cream

I reviewed about this already. Well to be honest I don't think this has done any wonder for my fine lines and dark circles, but the quality of ingredients used, its packaging and scent are really nice which keeps driving me into using this. I just love how the eye cream melts into watery balm between my fingers. The scent is also another reason that I can't stop using it. It relaxes my mind deeply and feels simply gorgeous on my eye area.

Celeb Face Sparkling Cleanser

This is a true bae. I received this from Charis Celeb in exchange for my honest thought on it, but now I am deeply in love with this cleanser. It foams up easily and effortlessly, and will whisk away all makeup residues and dust without the need to massage. A complete game-changer in my skincare routine!

Dr. Wu Intensive Renewal Serum With Mandelic Acid 18%

I bought this for my mom too and both of us adore it! It is a slightly oily serum that smells kinda funky. But it gives amazing results in term of its gentle exfoliating properties. My acne scars, closed comedones, and freckles improve ever since I add this into my skincare routine. For my mom, this is her life-changing product! It makes her skin younger-looking, shine, and glow. All her blackheads are gone (or almost gone) and her pores appear smaller, in just 2 weeks of use. A true favourite for the both of us!

Hada Labo Kiwamizu Lotion Mist

This is a lovely moisturizing mist with mineral ingredients content. I love using it before putting on masks, or as a moisturizing toner. It feels really soothing and refreshing on my skin. What I don't like about it, however, is that it tends to irritate my nose a bit. I always sneeze after spritzing it all over my face which makes me worry is there something inside that will irritate the skin or my body. Will continue to observe

Laneige Eye Sleeping Mask

I bought this because I am attracted to the cooling ball-shaped massager. The product itself is not impressive. It is just a lavender-smelling, lightweight essence that feels quite hydrating on the skin. What I am truly in love is the massager, which really depuffs and improve blood circulation around my eye area.

Loveisderma Hydra Max Serum

I use this a lot this month having received it from the brand owner. This is a lightweight serum made of mainly hyaluronic acid. It has a mild alkaline scent. It doesn't leave any sticky residue whatsoever. A decent moisturizing serum but since I am using it almost everyday recently so I just include it here.

Make P:rem UV Defense Me Blue Ray Sun Gel SPF50+ PA++++

Oh I love this sunscreen. Not only is the packaging super thoughtful (you just need 5 pumps to get the required amount for your face and neck), the product itself is not heavy or greasy at all. This sunscreen claims to cool and calm your skin from infrared heat, which makes it perfect for office use. It is the lightest among the rest. A sunscreen that I rely heavily on recently!

Pyunkang Yul Essence Toner

This is a soothing and moisturizing toner that has become everyone's favourite recently. I bought this after Gothamista recommended it on her channel. It feels super soothing and cooling on the skin. The texture is quite slippery (slightly viscous) but not sticky. I like how my skin tends to calm down pretty fast after exfoliation whenever I am using this. I think this works great as a soothing toner!

The Ordinary Buffet

I wanted to try this out after my positive experiences with the Advanced Retinoid 2% and Alpha Arbutin 2%. Overall this is a lightweight serum with loads of peptides and amino acids for the benefits of your skin. It tackles fine lines, wrinkles and other signs of aging. So far I haven't seen significant results but I love how it helps to moisturize and plump up my skin really well.
