Review: SNP Diamond Brightening Ampoule Mask

Actually this is not a new thing anymore. SNP came out with their ampoule masks long time ago and expanded to include a new MaYu line about a year ago. I was really interested to try out SNP ampoule masks but the Bird's Nest one I tried in the past were kinda meh. It was too sticky for my liking. It is not until recently that I picked up one of these SNP ampoule masks again. Let's read on to find out what I think about this SNP Diamond Brightening Ampoule Mask!

SNP Diamond Brightening Ampoule Mask is a Korean sheet mask I bought from Sweet Corea. It contains 1,000mg of sodium hyaluronate and 0.3mg diamond powder as well as a bunch of other ingredients to nourish and brighten your skin.

The mask is made of wet cotton cloth that can hold loads of essence. The mask is saturated with essence. The whole mask remains wet even after applying it for 30 minutes.

I apply this after cleansing, AHA (Dr. Wu Mandelic Acid Serum), and toner. I kept it on for 30 minutes until the mask around my chin area starts drying off. My skin feels a bit tingling and itchy here and there during the whole process. It has a distinctive lemon scent that I like.

INGREDIENTS

The mask contains a lot of sodium hyaluronate, an ingredient that normally comes at the bottom of the ingredients, but this has 1,000mg. Other notable ingredients are niacinamide, diamond powder, wild cherry fruit extract, cranberry fruit extract, and pomegranate extract. Except for diamond powder, the rest are antioxidants with brightening properties. Cherries are particularly notable for their ability to tackle oxidation-related issues and reduce hyperpigmentation.

The mask leaves my skin slightly sticky. And I also noticed some dead skin cells surfacing so I normally just take a facial puff soaked with drinking water to wipe my face. I don't like to wipe my face with toner because that might add to the stickiness. I also don't like to wipe my face with tap water as drinking water is "safer" and better for the skin.

Performance-wise, I can clearly see the "glow" on my face, the kind of sparkling glow that I suspect is caused by the diamond powder inside. My skin also looks a lot brighter, smoother, and radiant after. It is not very hydrating but the radiance is noticeable. I then finish it with a moisturizer to seal everything in.

Overall a good mask but I dont think I will repurchase because it is still a bit too sticky for my liking.
