Haul Review: Wako Beauty from Shopee - Cosrx, Pyunkang Yul, and Huxley

I noticed that there is an increasing number of reliable kbeauty retailers in Malaysia nowadays (despite everyone claiming that the economy is terrible). Back then (3-4 years back), we only have Hermo and some Facebook sellers who sell Korean beauty products at skyrocketing prices. Now not only we have Althea, Hermo these local big heads, but also some newly emerging ones on Shopee, Lazada, Qoo10, and many more, not to mention Korea-based retailers like Koreadepart, Testerkorea, Gmarket, Style Korean, Jolse, Rose Rose Shop, Sweet Corea and so on. And the industry is growing.

In today's review, I am gonna share what I bought from a kbeauty retailer I recently discovered on Shopee and how it feels like shopping from them. Please note that this is not a sponsored review, merely a sharing of my recent haul online.

Wako Beauty started off as a retailer selling Primera products on Facebook. We don't have Shopee back then so I didn't shop from them despite knowing about their existence. Besides, I already bought some Primera products so I didn't find the need buying from them.

It was not until I started getting stuffs from Shopee that I learned about these guys. They are doing pretty well selling Cosrx products. Recently they also brought in Pyunkang Yul, Huxley, Laneige, and many more. They also went from Shopee's preferred shop to official shop, so they are pacing up I guess!

Wako Beauty sells their products at cheap prices. Not incredibly cheap but much cheaper than you can find else's where. And it is reasonable if they are dealing with Korea factories directly. Most gmarket stuffs are priced around that too so it is entirely possible that they can get those stuffs at cheap prices. I don't know how they are dealing with taxation, customs and shipping, but I guess they have their own ways. How I wish they exist when I first ventured into K-beauty! They are selling stuffs at half the prices I used to get those stuffs!

Anyhow, back to the haul. Since I already got most of the things they are selling, I only bought a few new ones that I'm interested in trying:

  • Cosrx Acne Pimple Master
  • Huxley Secret of Sahara Cream Glow Awakening
  • Pyunkang Yul Sample Kit

And these are my free gifts with a purchase of RM 120 and above:

  • Etude House 0.2mm Therapy Air Snail Mask
  • Huxley Sample Kit

The parcel took about 7 days to ship and 1 day to arrive. I guess either Wako Beauty doesn't have the Huxley creams or they are getting a lot of orders, which is evident in the occasion where they didn't have time to reply my messages. I am fine with that but I saw some negative feedback complaining about the wait time. Good, cheap and fast don't co-exist, don't you think so?

Overall, a happy haul experience. I have been eyeing Huxley whitening cream for a few months and is happy to finally receiving it. I did not open it immediately because I want to finish testing my L'occitane Whitening Cream first. I have this bad habit of wanting something immediately yet is extremely patient when the thing finally reaches my hand. I guess my brain only operates that way and my willpower is too weak to stop my desire to shop. Delaying gratification requires a lot of willpower and I apparently lack one!

A final word - yes! I would repurchase from Wako Beauty in the recent future!
