Alcohol-Free Alternative to Biore Aqua Rich Watery Essence - Review: Kiss Me Sunkiller Perfect Water Essence SPF50+ PA++++

Looking for a lightweight sunscreen that is alcohol-free? Loving the texture of Biore Aqua Rich Watery Essence but cannot take its strong alcohol scent and high alcohol content? This will be your answer!

Kiss Me Sunkiller Perfect Water Essence N is a water-based, alcohol-free sunscreen gel that is super lightweight and refreshing on the skin. It provides broad spectrum protection offering SPF50+ PA++++. It is so lightweight that it absorbs into the skin almost instantly like a moisturizing essence. It contains 86% moisturizing ingredient offering strong hydration power with 3 types of hyaluronic acid ingredients. I found this when I was browsing for newer sunscreen at Watson's.

The packaging looks like Biore Aqua Rich Watery Essence, which is a sharp blue plastic tube.

The product comes in a lightweight, highly spreadable, watery gel cream consistency. It will leave a little bit sheen on your skin, which makes it perfect as a makeup base and skin primer. There is a slightly unpleasant sweet fruity scent to the product.

Water, Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate, Diethylamino Hydroxylbenzoyl Hexyl Benzoate, Penthylene Glycol, Bis-Ethylhexyloxyphenol Methoxyphenyl Triazine, Isononyl Isononanoate, Sodium Acrylate/Sodum Acryloyldimethyl Taurate Copolymer, Titanium Dioxide, Isohexadecane, Aluminium Starch Octenylsuccinate, Ethylhexylglycerin, Phenoxyethanol, Fragrance, Polysorbate 80, Sodium Dilauramidolutamide Lysine, Aluminium Hydroxide, Stearic Acid, Xanthan Gum, Sorbitan Oleate, Ammonium Acryloyldimethyltaurate/VP Copolymer, Tocopherol, T-Butyl Alcohol, Hydrolyzed Hyaluronic Acid, Sodium Acetylated Hyaluronate, Sodium Hyaluronate, Butylene Glycol, Saxifraga Sarmentosa Extract, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Royal Jelly Extract

This product uses 4 sun filters, namely octinoxate, titanium dioxide, tinosorb S and uvinul A plus, offering wide spectrum protection (UVA1, UVA2, and UVB). These four are commonly used sun filters in many sun products. Skin benefiting ingredients include hyaluronic acid of different molecular sizes, royal jelly extract, aloe vera extract, and saxifraga extract, all of which are moisturizing and anti-oxidizing ingredients. The rest are mostly just texture-ingredients like emulsifiers, viscosity controls, emollients and so on. I am not sure if I should buy the so-called "87% are moisturizing ingredients" but if you take into consideration glycerin and all that then it is possible.

The only thing that I dislike about this sunscreen is the scent. Other than that, it is super lightweight, spreads easily and gets absorbed almost instantly into the skin like a moisturizing essence. I think I would continue to use this if they change the scent to something milder and floral, not fruity. But if you like Biotherm sunscreen, which also smells really fruity, then you can opt for this as a cheaper alternative.

- cheap
- no alcohol, decent ingredients
- broad spectrum protection
- lightweight and fast-absorbing texture

- funky fruity scent
