Review: Scinic Aqua All In One Ampoule

Another big korean beauty trend in 2016 is these all-in-one ampoules that come in a big tubs with economic prices. It is definitely mind-blowing considering that most skincare products calling themselves ampoules tend to be really pricey. For instance, my beloved LJH Vita Propolis Ampoule with only 15ml of products cost some USD 20-25, not to mention higher end ones. Hence, these all-in-one ampoules are an interesting new addition to the existing skincare line and is definitely worth exploring!

Review: A'pieu Pure Block Aqua Sun Gel SPF50+ PA+++

I wanted to talk about this A'pieu sunscreen. Actually there isn't a lot of review on this product, so i hope that this review will br helpful for those of you who want to get it. To start with, this product actually reminds me a lot of my beloved Biore Aqua Rich Watery Essence. It's also much cheaper than Biore sunscreen, especially for those living overseas with difficulty accessing Biore sunscreen. Hence, let's find out if this A'pieu one is as good, worse than, or even better than the Biore sunscreen.

Carolyn's Best of Beauty 2016: My Favourite Skincare and Makeup Picks

2016 is another year of trial and error. I have moved on from road store brands like Innisfree, Holika Holika, The Face Shop, Skinfood, Nature Republic, Missha and so on and started to dig into departmental store brands like Primera, Sum:37, Belif, Kose, Biotherm, and so on as well as tonnes of online brands. I discovered newer favourites, but also kept some of my old favourites on my wardrobe this year. Not all of the products shown below are full size bottles. Some are miniatures that I have used for at least 2 weeks and found them not suitable for my skin or less convincing for me to buy the full size bottle. You can check out my 2015 favourites here!

Review: Petitfee Premium Gold EGF Eye Patch

Petitfee is undoubtedly the most popular brand for eye patches. I think so far none can really beat Petitfee in terms of quality, performance and prices. Hermo has it for somewhere between RM 20-30, the same goes for Althea. For 30 pairs, this is definitely a bargain as each pair is only as low as RM 1. The question is, is this as good as raved, or it is just some market gimmick like the Regen Cosme one.

Hermo Christmas Sales 2016: Fighting The Temptation to Spend

Hi guys, I'm back with another haul review! This time, it is a Korean beauty haul with my beloved local retailer Hermo Malaysia! They are having a month-long Christmas Sales and I couldn't resist the temptation to grab some of the items at cheap cheap prices! Everytime when I tell myself not to shop for more, there will always be better products with attractive prices waiting for me. Urgh, it is a feeling that I guess shared by many of us. So, let's spread the joy with this Christmas Sales haul to end 2016! (Isn't 2016 already over?)

Hermo brings in a lot of new brands recently but my focus is on these products: Neogen, Cosrx, Laneige and Nature Republic. I wanted to buy Klairs but since I have more than 15 toners waiting for me in my closet, I think I will skip it for now. So let's go straight to the products:

Review: Cosrx Aloe Soothing Sun Cream SPF50+ PA+++

This is probably one of the Korean sunscreens I get to touch, smell and use before buying. Hence, it is less likely to go wrong compared to those you only get to see its online review. I bought this during my visit to Cosrx Exhibition to Malaysia in July last year. It was a love at first sight. I knew I wanted to bring it home the moment I tested it on my palm. It smelled so divine and felt so soft on my skin. The kind of feeling you got when you woke up with an overnight mask on, or had a really good sleep the night before. This is definitely something that is more than just a sunscreen!

Review: Tosowoong Enzyme Powder Wash

Enzyme Powder Wash is particularly popular a few months ago, especially this one from Tosowoong. It claims to be a gentle, non-abrasive, deep-cleansing, and makeup-removing low pH cleanser that doesn't contain any water hence no harmful preservative is needed to give this product a longer shelf life. As such, these type of cleanser normally does not use a lot of fancy ingredients or harsh preservatives. It is like those dried fruit or yeast that is inactivated but nutritious.

Review: About Me Skin Tone Up Massage Cream

This is quite an unique product. In fact, I started using it at about a year ago but still don't really have an informed opinion on it yet. My deep apologize for the long overdue review and let's go the product now!

Review: Kiehl's Rare Earth Deep Pore Cleansing Masque

I rarely review about clay mask, or deep-cleansing mask. But that's because I rarely find any clay mask that meets my needs with the right texture, ingredients and performance. But now, I think I've found the One. This Kiehl's Rare Earth Deep Pore Cleansing Masque is one such functioning deep-cleansing wash-off type mask that does all without stripping the skin off moisture.

Sheet Mask Review Episode 7: October, November, and December 2016 Facial Mask Collection

I don't use a lot of masks near the end of 2016, and some of them are repetitive ones which is already in my previous review so I don't want to keep repeating it. Below are some of the newer mask flavours I used in the past 3 months. I hope my review will help you to pick your own and may this be a wonderful mask year ahead for you! Review: The Saem Urban ECO Harakeke Foam Cleanser

I was curious about the harakeke line after I finished the Harakeke Toner and Emulsion earlier. I don't want to go over the brand The Saem too much here since I've talked about it in the before. Harakeke, as discussed before, is a plant native of New Zealand, sort of like the alternative of aloe vera. It is found to have skin moisturizing, soothing, and anti-microbial properties, and is good for most skin types even oily skin.

My 2016 10-Step Korean Skincare Routine

Today I'm back with my updated, 10-step Korean skincare routine. This trend is highly popular in YouTube now, a lot of vloggers I subscribed are doing their 10-step Korean skincare routine hence I am intrigued to introduce mine!

Just for your information, I don't usually commit to a 10-step routine unless if I am deliberated enough on that particular day. I have a lot of multitasking products like Blithe Pressed Serum, Scinic All-in-One Ampoule and so on to help me skipping steps, but sticking to the 10-step routine definitely has its cons of helping me skin to retain moisture for longer with better "glow".

Let's go over to my 2016 10-step Korean skincare routine!

Review: Mamonde Moisture Ceramide Light Cream

I visited Mamonde Malaysia on their Mid Valley branch outlet opening special in August 2016. It was a fun visit as all visitors were greeted with beautiful fresh roses and miniatures set. Laneige was having a sales so a lot of people are attracted to the counter. Pretty much 90% of AEON customers on that day gathered around Mamonde and Laneige. Bravo Amore Pacific!

Today I'm gonna throw in a really short and simple review on this Mamonde Moisture Ceramide Light Cream that I received during my visit to the Mamonde opening.

Review: Kiehl's Turmeric & Cranberry Seed Energizing Radiance Masque

Actually, I bought this in March last year, but only have the time to talk about it now. Not just because I have tonnes of products waiting for my review, but something about this product makes me feel that I need longer testing period before sharing it with you guys.

Review: Kose Sekkisei Sun Protect Essence Gel SPF50+/PA++++

Let's talk about my favourite sunscreen today, what I usually refer to as my holy grail sunscreen, the absolute must-have in my sunscreen stash. I couldn't decide which one I like better compared to AMPM 10-Peptide Sun Lotion but this is definitely one of my holy grails!
