Comparison Review: Biore UV Aqua Rich Watery Essence || Hadalado Perfect UV Gel

Today I'm reviewing two highly requested sunscreen from the popular brands Biore and Hada Labo! I've finished using them a few months ago, but only find time to talk about it now. My apologies for keeping you guys waiting and here it is: how does the Biore Watery Essence compared to the newbie Hada Labo Perfect UV Gel?

Don't you agree that they both look highly similar to each other, in term of packaging and presentation? Both are also Japanese. A little side-note though, I think Japanese makes the best sunscreen, probably there are less restrictions in sunscreen formulation there so the chemists have greater freedom to come out with users-friendly texture?

Review: Belif The True Tincture Mask - Chamomile

This is Belif's newly released mask in 2015 if I remember correctly, after the Tincture of Chamomile. My mom is a loyal user of the Tincture of Chamomile, a product she said has helped her skin regain radiance and energy from losing collagen and moisture on her skin barrier. She normally uses it as a toner, or after a toner and before an essence. Since the Tincture of Chamomile treats her skin so well, she asked me to get the mask for her immediately when I told her about its release.

Review: 3W Clinic Intensive UV Sunblock Cream SPF50+/PA+++

Honestly, the only reason for me to buy this has to be its really affordable prices. I've read some good review about this sunscreen even though it is considered really cheap so I thought why don't I just give it a try?

Review: Nature Republic Ultra Fresh Jeju Carbonic H2O Cleansing Water

You guys can tell that  I'm speeding up on my individual product reviews because I am such a slow writer!!! So, here it comes, my very belated review on my holy grail cleansing water!

Review: Etude House Real Art No-Wash Cleansing Water [Hydra]

Honestly, I don't really use a lot of Etude House products especially their skincare, mostly because of it less-than-impressive qualities. I do use some Etude House makeup though, but for skincare, I think I am too old to see any effects they bring for my skin.

But, this product is an exception. I spotted it when I was shopping at Etude House outlet and was attracted to its unique packaging (it has Mona Lisa on it!) and lovely scent. Besides, my cleansing water was almost finished around that time too that I decided to bring this home.

A bit of research revealed that it has a sister as well, a green bottle "mild & refreshing" version, and it is an award winner item in cleansing water category for Allure Korea Beauty Award 2015! So I am assuming that this will be equally good as well!

The Tale of Sleeping Beauties: A Comparison Review on 16 Sleeping Masks I used

I decided to write about sleeping masks after getting a lot of questions on what are they for, and are they anything special than a facial cream etc. I may not have the best answer for you guys, but I think I can share some of my thoughts on these sleeping beauties.

For those of you who have questions about facial mask or sheet mask, you can read my previous tips and Q&A on these facials on a sheet.

Sleeping mask is highly similar to any other masks out there, the only difference is the way it is applied. It's meant to form a moisture trap on your face with its light gel texture, instead of having a layer of fiber sheet like most sheet mask does, to force feed your skin with nutrition. So your skin will look brighter, plumper or even younger the next morning you wake up when you have sleeping mask on because it also prevents moisture loss from your face and contributes to the "plumping" effect.

As for whether or not sleeping mask is necessary, I think it really depends. If you are on tight budget and don't want to waste your money on extra skincare stuffs, then I think you don't really need to get one. But if you are looking for something light-weighted, nice, effective or fun to play with at night, then you should definitely invest in one!

If you ask me, sleeping mask is fun and multifunctional. It's useful for nights when I don't feel like sticking to my N steps routine, where I will just layer sleeping mask on my face after an essence toner. Sometimes, when I am eyeing products from a brand, and is not sure what should I get (like Sulwhasoo), then I would firstly go for their sleeping masks. In Korea, I notice that sleeping mask is generally cheaper than toner, emulsion, essence, serum and cream, without compromising on their qualities. So it really boils down to individual needs and preferences in making your own choice.

So, let's go through some of the sleeping masks I'd used in the past few years. Some were pretty good, some were just "meh" and there are a few "ewww". Read on to find out more on each!

Review: Belif First Aid Overnight Skin Regeneration Mask

Today, I'm gonna do an in-depth review on my favourite sleeping mask in 2015, which I've also raved about many times in my previous reviews and Instagram.

I am sure some of you guys who have read my mega review on Belif knows about this brand already. It is a middle-upper range cosmetic brand under the umbrella company of LG Korea. Their direct competitor is Primera under Amore Pacific Korea as well as the western brand Kiehl's. The whole concept of skincare in Belif focuses utilizing the healing power of herbs inherited from British Napiers. This is not Chinese herbs, or hanbang you see in Sulwhasoo or Hanyul. It is more like western herbal technology, quite similar to Kiehl's.

Review: Naruko Taiwan Magnolia Brightening and Firming Night Gelly EX

This Naruko Magnolia brightening and firming night gelly is a sister product of my beloved Beauty DIY Rose Night Jelly that I've raved about many times in my previous review. I also tried their reformulated Raw's Job Tear one but was very disappointed with the melted jelly like texture that is no where near its "gelly" claim. Hence, it was not until very recently that Naruko decided to upgrade its formulation and product size that I finally got my hand on it.

Review: Laneige Water Sleeping Mask (2015)

Literally the first Korean sleeping mask I know, this sleeping mask is so popular that I am aware of it existence even before I start using any. Even now, it is so popular that when you google the word “Korean sleeping mask”, it will always appear in the first three rows.

Actually, I got a 20ml miniature of it from a Facebook seller 2 years ago before committing into a full size bottle. I wanted to give it a try, and was super impressed with its light-weighted hydrating properties and lovely sleep scent. It just feels so nice for someone who has never used any other Korean skincare before.

I did not buy the full bottle immediately, instead going through several other sleeping masks before getting my hand on this. You can see my mega review on sleeping mask to have a better understanding of my collection. So, it was not until July last year that I started to use it. And honestly, I was less impressed having gone through hypes of products, although I still really enjoy it and would recommend it to others.

Let’s go through this highly popular renewed Laneige Water Bank Sleeping Mask!

Review: Bifesta Cleansing Sheet #Moist

Hi everyone! Today, I am gonna throw in a really simple review on a popular cleansing wipes I got from Watsons - the Bifesta Cleansing Sheets in Moist. I've tried their points makeup remover before and was really impressed with their gentle yet effective cleansing power, hence was not hesitated to reach out for their cleansing wipes when I needed one.

The one I chose was the pink moist version of it. It is said to be a water-based makeup removing tissues or "cotton wipes". Local importer very kindly include English description at the back.

Aromatica indulgence: reviewing the Rose Absolute First Serum and Vital Fluid

I love rose. I mean, which woman doesn't? But rose, despite how beautiful it is, isn't always the most agreeable with my skin.

I've tried numerous rose products, one of the most memorable would be my beloved Beauty DIY Rose Night Jelly which I've raved about it many times. And then there is Mamonde Rose Moisturising Mask as the most moisturising lotion-type masks I've ever used.

Although Mamonde Rose Water Toner and Bubble Foam Cleanser aren't impressive, they are still OK enough for me to finish them up.

However, for our star products today, I really cannot find the motivation or reason to continue. I am stucked, half way. They are not bad, but they are just not for me.

For those of you who know me, you'll know that I weight texture and scent, those surface things a lot more than other people. Don't get me wrong though, performance is very important here, but if you can't even continue using a product, then there is no reason to talk about performance because you will definitely not see any or continue to get any anyway, right?

In today's case, the texture and scent of both Aromatica products fail me, very badly.
