Hey! Pinkgo Girl Brightening White Yogurt Lifting Lace Mask

CLAIMS

This brightening white yogurt lifting mask is made of lace, which is quite a unique and beautiful idea to lift up and firm your skin. It is enriched with vital multi-vitamins from yogurt and morus nigra leaf extract, as if bathing your skin in fresh milk with a lot of nourishment. Your skin is left brighter and softer after this with evener complexion for long-term usage. It is great for dull skin. For all skin types.

INGREDIENTS

Water, Tremella Fuciformis Extract, Xantham Gum, Glycerin, Hydrolyzed Hyaluronic Acid, Algin, PEG-7 Glyceryl Cocoate, Carbomer, Triethanolamine, PEG-60 Hydrogenated Caster Oil, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Allantoin, PEG-8 Isostearate, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Pelargonium Graveolens Extract, Angelice, Black Pearl, Archangelica Extract, Ascorbyl Glucoside, Arbutin, Morus Nigra Leaf Extract, Yogurt, Cucumber Extract

ASSESSMENT

I adore the packaging of the product, so cute and lovely! The material used is lace, which is really cute too but might not be practical as a sheet mask material especially for sensitive skin. I personally find the mask to be gentle enough for my normal skin and I like how it makes my skin firmer after. The mask also has a nice milk or yogurt scent. Ingredients-wise, I love the tremella mushroom extract and of course algin and hydrolyzed hyaluronic acid here! They are very good moisturizers and they are present in good amounts as well. Some extracts might sound fancy but has less-research backing its skin care benefits, such as angelice, black pearl, and yogurt. Surprisingly, you get good extracts in this mask. My skin has become more radiant after this with cleaner and brighter complexion. Not very hydrating but kind of nourishing.

 Innisfree Brightening Second Skin Mask

CLAIMS

This perfectly adhesive mask contains vitamin C derivatives which deeply penetrate into your vitality lacking and dull skin, ultimately creating a bright and translucently clear complexion. Also an award-winning mask.

INGREDIENTS

Water, Butylene Glycol, Alcohol, Ascorbyl Glucoside, Bacillus/Soybean Ferment Extract, Nelumbo Nucifera Flower Extract, Prunus Mume Fruit Extract, 1,2-Hexanediol, Bis-Peg-18 Methyl Ether Dimethyl Silane, Peg-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Carbomer, Silica, Ethylhexylglycerin, Propanediol, Glycerin, Disodium Edta, Potassium Hydroxide, Citric Acid, Lactic Acid, Fragrance

ASSESSMENT

The packaging is really simple but with style. It is shiny if you look closer. This mask is made of soybean hydrogel, which is very gentle and soft to the skin. There isn't a lot of watery essence -- the mask is only minimally wet. I have this on for 30-40 minutes. It fits really well to the skin but not very moisturizing. This is a no-nonsense mask. It contains a lot of brightening agent such as lotus flower, prunus mume, soybean, ascorbyl glucoside, and lactic acid. It doesn't add any moisturizing agents (maybe except for the basic ones like glycerin) as this is mainly for brightening. This works even better than the L'herboflore one. My skin retains that beautiful glow for 3-4 days, even without proper sleep and proper skincare routine. It definitely is not moisturizing as a mask, but the brightening effect is more than impressive.

L'herboflore Chlorella Anti-Oxidant Firming Mask

CLAIMS

The chlorella anti-oxidant firming mask is made of algae extract which is a potent natural moisturizing and anti-aging ingredient to reduce signs of aging and rejuvenate the skin. Oat polysaccharides here will then form a layer on the epidermis to firm and soften the skin. Deep sea water, MDI complex and PGA will also hydrate, firm and keep the skin looking youthful. This series of L'herboflore mask emphasizes "where there is water, there is life", where it uses energy from the sparkling blue waters of the Aegean Sea, to transform an abundance amount of amino acids and nutrients into rich serum to nourish your skin for a younger and revitalized appearance.

INGREDIENTS

Aqua (Water), Glycerin, Butylene Glycol, Sodium Hyaluronate, Hydrolyzed Oat Protein, Quaternium-15, Tetrasodium EDTA, Allantoin, Propylene Glycol, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Xanthan Gum, Hyaluronic Acid, Glycosaminoglycans, Trisodium EDTA, Pullulan, Algae Extract, Mannitol, Sodium Citrate, Acetyl Tetrapeptide-15, Sea Water, Polyglutamic Acid, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Isopropyl Alcohol, Cellulose, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Parfum (Fragrance), Methylisothiazolinone, Iodopropynyl Butylcarbamate, Phenoxyethanol, Potassium Sorbate, Sodium Benzoate, Sodium Acetate

ASSESSMENT

All L'herboflore mask looks like they are made for art gallery so you know what I mean. I have never seen anything so fitting and soft. It's between pulp and hydrogel, extremely comfortable and gentle on skin. I enjoy the 1 hour long process of applying them. At least, applying it for 1 hour and so doesn't bring me headaches or other problems. It feels like a lot of water is rushing into my skin. I don't know how to describe. Like my skin can never get enough of the moisture from the mask. Although I am very very impressed with the performance of this mask, the fact that it contains methylisothiazolinone actually turns me off greatly. Methylisothiazolinone is a highly controversial ingredient, a preservative with reported skin allergy problem. I found this in Hanna & Kent masks as well, but I never expect to see it here. Can't they use a better preservative that is less harmful for our skin? Other ingredients look good and simple - all for moisturizing. Not a lot of botanical extracts are added for marketing vows, which is good for me. Read here for how methylisothiazolinone might cause nerve damage. I swear that I can see my face shines look polished shoes or cleaned mirror for the next 2-3 days. It feels like baby skin. I am not sure will you get that effect if you only apply 15 minutes or so, but I might try that next time.

Lindsay Lavender Modelling Rubber Mask

CLAIMS

According to Glow Recipe, the Modelling Mask is a step-up from regular sheet-masks. The thick layer of rubber will adhere to your skin and allow mineral-rich nutrients to be absorbed without the risk of evaporation. Similar to how your facial is done at the beauty salon. The Modelling Mask, formulated with alginate that will transform from a powder to a soft gel-like texture when mixed with water, will help to detoxify the skin by gently lifting away impurities and dead skin cells while supplying nutrients into the skin to reveal bright skin underneath.

INGREDIENTS

Diatomatious Earth, Calcium Sulfate, Glucose, Alginate, Tetrapotassium Pyrophosphate, Cellulose Gum, Maltodextrin, Monoglyceride, Lactococcus lactis, Lavender Extract, Allantoin, Potassium Alginate, Adenosine, Aloe Vera Extract, Portulaca Oleracea Extract, Manganese Violet, Fragrance

ASSESSMENT

This rubber mask has very unattractive design. Something I wouldn't pick up from the shelf if I didn't know about its effects. It looks like a low-cost powder-filled plastic cup. The plastic cup torn apart easily to pressure as well. This mask smells nice - cooling with relaxing lavender aroma as well as a hint of clay. So earthy. The mask turns into gel-like rubber in 5 minutes I guess after adding water. So be sure to do it quick otherwise you won't enjoy the full benefits of it - you can't even apply them on your face once it hardens. The rubber is very cooling and gentle on your skin like solidified yogurt. The process of making this was a big disaster. I was trying to take photos so I didn't slap it on my mask within the first 3 minutes or so and then was horrified to find that it has solidified when I was only half way done on applying it. I enjoyed the half-finish goods though - cooling, relaxing and softening, except for the part where Mr. Bad Skin laughed at how I resembled the muddy monster at Goosebumps show. This mask has pretty clean ingredients list. You will be surprised. Most of the skincare benefits I think are coming from the diatomatious earth - which, according to my research, is a gentle yet highly effective exfoliator. High mineral contents in it are also proven benefits to human skin. A lot of soothing and calming extracts such as lavender extract, aloe vera, allantoin, adenosine, portulaca oleracea extract and so on are added as well to offer the deep relaxing effect. I am more than impressed by the performance of this mask. In 15 minutes, you get clean, polished, dirts-free and SPA-ed face. I didn't see a lot of debris sticking to the surface of the rubbery mask when I took it off, but I can actually feel that a layer of my dead skin cells and debris are cleared from my face - just in 15 minutes!!! Can I call this magic?

Mamonde Evening Primrose Revitalizing & Soothing

INGREDIENTS

Aqua, Butylene Glycol, Glycerol, Peg/ppg-16/17 Copolymer, Alcohol, Grapefruit, Betaine, Xantham Gum, PEG-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Oenothera Biennis Flower Extract, Oenothera Biennis Root Extract, Sodium Hyaluronate, Edetate Disodium, Phenoxyethanol

ASSESSMENT

Somehow, I am not THAT impressed by the design of this mask, if compared to its rose counterpart. The mask also doesn't have any distinctive smell as well. The evening primrose mask is a watery-type essence mask. There is only 20ml of essence inside so it is not dripping essence like many Taiwanese masks. The material is made of pulp paper I think, very slim and fitting. Interestingly, the essence dries up quite fast, within 20 minutes or so and will make my skin a little itchy after I took it off. The ingredients are pretty straight-forward. The main ingredients are grapefruit, betaine, and evening primrose. This mask, unlike the rose one, is still moisturizing but less so than the rose one. It is even less powerful than My Beauty Diary masks. I didn't feel that this has revitalized, or soothed my skin as I have irritated skin when I used it that day.

Mamonde Peach Blossom Shiny Hydrating Mask

CLAIMS

This flower essential mask is enriched with peach blossom that supplies moisture and nutrition to skin for full glowing effect.

ASSESSMENT

The mask smells like some kind of flower aroma in my childhood memory. A bit like perfumy floor cleanser my grandma used. Mamonde claims that this is made of cellulose. As for me, this looks like a soft cottony mask soaked in lotion-type essence. This is not as great as the rose mask. At least not as fitting. Essence also dries up pretty fast. I have to take it off after 20-30 minutes. I did not see any impressive results hence might not repurchase in the future.

Mamonde Rose Moisturizing Mask

INGREDIENTS

Butylene Glycol, Glycerin, Cetyl Ethylhexanoate, PEG/PPG-17/6 copolymer, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Polyglyceryl-3 methylglucose distearate, Grape Fruit Extract, Glyceryl Stearate, Dimethicone, PEG-100 Stearate, Ammonium Acryloyldimethyltaurate/VP Copolymer, Rosa Centifolia Flower Extract, Honey, Xantham Gum, Sodium Polyacrylate, Hydrogenated Polydecene, Sodium Hyaluronate, Trideceth-6, Trisodium EDTA, Phenoxyethanol

ASSESSMENT

Mamonde is a brand of flowers. And roses are among the most beautiful flowers we have. So you'll not be surprised by the beautiful and lovely rose design of this mask. Another perfect mask to collect as stamps. As for the scent, This mask smells super nice - you will feel like you are bathed in wild roses. The mask is made of soft cotton but is very gentle on skin. Surprisingly though, this is a lotion-type essence so it is very nourishing and moisturizing. The mask is still quite wet after 30 minutes. It fits my skin so well like it is designed specifically for me. I have this mask on for 30-40 minutes. It doesn't become drier after I take it off. The whole process is really nice and relaxing, like making rose SPA. Ingredients-wise, this mask contains a lot of non-active-ingredients addictive, some are flagged averagely hazardous on CosDNA, which might be a concern for some people. I don't have any problems with the essence though. Main ingredient is grapefruit, rose extract and honey. In term of performance, it makes my skin velvety soft after applying, supple and smooth. Due to the high moisture content, my skin looks brighter as well.

My Beauty Diary Damask Rose Mask

CLAIMS

My Beauty Diary Damask Rose Mask is a highly moisturizing mask with brightening benefits. Enriched with botanical extracts such as kiwi fruit extract, aloe vera, cucumber, seaweed and so on, this mask proves itself great in penetrating deep into your skin to supply moisture with its unique Cosphingo TM x Aquaroute TM technologies. This mask is perfect for those with dull or dry skin who wants brighter and suppler skin.

INGREDIENTS

Water (Aqua), Butylene Glycol, Glycerin, Propylene Glycol, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Ananas Sativus (Pineapple) Fruit Extract, Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Leaf Extract, Arnica Montana Flower Extract, Triethanolamine, Phenoxyethanol, Rosa Damascena Flower Water, Chlorphenesin, Laminaria Digitata Extract, Actinidia Chinensis (Kiwi) Fruit Extract, Polysorbate 20, Cucumis Sativus (Cucumber) Fruit Extract, Sodium Hyaluronate, Citric Acid, Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate, Codium Tomentosum Extract, Fragrance, Lecithin, Polysorbate 80, Glyceryl Glucoside, Carbomer, Polyglutamic Acid, Iodopropynyl Butylcarbamate, Xantham Gum, Sodium Hydroxide, Sodium Lactate, Sodium PCA, Potassium Hydroxide, Glycosphingolipids, Tocopherylacetate

ASSESSMENT

I always love the simple yet elegant design of My Beauty Diary masks, plus this comes with a sweet white rose and lovely rose scent. The upgraded version of MBD now comes with slimmer yet firmer semi-fiber/hydrogel cloth. It can now hold more essence without the weakness of tearing down easily compared its previous version. I love the upgraded one! Although it is slimmer, it creates a even more moisturizing barrier on your skin when you have it on your skin. I have this mask on for 30-40 minutes. It feels very wet at the beginning, essence drips down from all over my face but as it gets absorbed, my skin immediately feels very refreshed and deeply moisturized. Extremely soothing and comforting. My skin feels like it is eating ice-cream, of course a non-sticky one. This mask contains a lot of botanical extracts, which I am not sure is it even necessary. I always believe that quality but less is better. However, if you apply a lot of these, you will definitely get some if not all of the benefits as described, especially in terms of moisturizing and brightening. Since I only use 1 of this, I don't get the brightening benefits from it yet. It is very good at moisturizing though. With its sweet rose scent, it will also relax your mind and soothe your soul. My skin looks brighter for the next 1-2 days.

My Beauty Diary Vanilla Moisturizing Aroma Mask

CLAIMS

This is a special sweet vanilla aroma edition of My Beauty Diary mask with mainly moisturizing and soothing effects. Other botanical extracts such as aloe vera, sugar maple, algae and so on are also added to offer deep hydrating effects to provide your skin with radiance. It is suitable for thsoe with rough, dry, dull, tired and sensitive skin.

INGREDIENTS

Water, Glycerin, Butylene Glycol, Propylene Glycol, Arnica Montana Flower Extract, Phenoxyethanol, Chlorphenesin, Polysorbate 20, Triethanolamine, Polyglutamic Acid, Sodium Hyaluronate, Sodium Lactate, Citric Acid, Hydroxyethyl Urea, Macadamia Seed Oil Glycereth-8 Esters, Sodium PCA, Acer Saccharum (Sugar Maple) Extract, Algae Extract, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Ananas Sativus (Pineapple) Fruit Extract, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Fruit Extract, Citrus Grandis (Grapefruit) Fruit Extract, Citrus Medica Limonum (Lemon) Peel Extract, Codium Tomentosum Extract, Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate, Fucus Vesiculosus Extract, Laminaria Digitata Extract, Lecithin, Malva Sylvestris (Mallow) Flower Extract, Polysorbate 80, Pyrus Malus (Apple) Fruit Extract, Saccharum Officinarum (Sugar Cane) Extract, Vanilla Planifolia Fruit Extract, Peg-15 Hydroxystearate, Alanine, Arginine, Betaine, Carbomer , Glutamic Acid, Glycine, Iodopropynyl Butylcarbamate, Lysine, Proline, Serine, Sorbitol, Threonine, Xanthan Gum, Sodium Hydroxide, Fragrance, Citrus Aurantium Bergamia (Bergamot) Fruit Oil, Glycosphingolipids, Tocopheryl Acetate

ASSESSMENT

The mask smells delicious and perfumy with vanilla scent. It is made of fiber and is extremely slim yet can hold abundant moisture. Comforting and gentle on skin as well. I have this on for 20-30 minutes, but it feels just normal on my skin. Not as moisturizing as the rose one. It may seem like this mask contains a lot of botanical extracts but the major one is arnica montana flower extract, which is meant to reduce flaking and restore suppleness. Most of the extracts are for moisturizing and soothing purposes, and a lot of them look quite good but the portion is too low if you divide by the amount of the essence. Underlined are what I believe to be fragrance extracts., and I deem anything listed below that as insignificant due to its minimal presence in this mask. I think this sheet mask performs just normally. It can soothe your tension with its sweet scent and can of course provide hydration but nothing more than that. Besides, I don't like the aroma at all. Also, a note of caution for those sensitive to fragrance or plant oils, this might cause a lot of problems due to the high amounts of fragrance ingredients in here.

Sexylook Sakura Duo-Lifting Mask

INGREDIENTS

Aqua, Dipropylene Glycol, Butylene Glycol, Niacinamide, Phenoxyethanol, Hydroxyethyl Ethylcellulose, Chlorphenesin, Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate, Caesalpina Spinosa Gum/Hydrolyzed Caesalpinia Spinosa Gum, Saccharide Isomerate, Carbomer, Iodopropynyl Butylcarbamate, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Natto Gum, Triethanolamine, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Sodium Hyaluronate, Gold, Pseudoalteromonas Fermented Extract, Fragrance

ASSESSMENT

I love the packaging! I love sakura and everything with sakura can easily catch my attention. Also, the packaging looks like you can transform into that beautiful Japanese sweetie bathing in sakura petals if you wear this mask. So romantic and beautiful. No reason not giving it a try! Plus, the mask has a really nice sakura flower scent to it as well! The mask is made of beehive tombs design cotton cloth so a bit thick and rough for my drier skin. Doesn't feel comfortable in it. As such, I didn't quite enjoy the process. Took it off 15 minutes later when essence almost dries up and the mask sheet turns rougher.

Ingredients-wise, this mask has some seriously good ingredients. Of course, I take any active ingredients beyond phenoxyethanol (because phenoxyethanol tends to come in 1% of concentration) as ingredients with minimal impacts. Except for triethanolamine, there isn't a lot of problematic ingredients here, which is really impressive for the cheap price. To sum up the ingredients, this mask is intended for moisturizing, brightening and soothing purposes. My face doesn't feel sticky or tacky afterward. No lifting effect seen. Face doesn't become brighter or more moisturized the days after.

Tsaio Deep Moisturizing Mask

CLAIMS

The Tsaio premium mask series are a collaborate art piece with famous artist Jimmy. The ingredients used here are those known for deep hydration - aloe vera and hyaluronic acid. Other ingredients include trehalose, calendula flower extract, witch hazel water, licorice, and so on to boost hydration level of your skin.

INGREDIENTS

Glycerin, Butylene Glycol, Polysorbate 20, Xanthan Gum, Methylparaben, Trisodium EDTA, Fragrance, Water

ASSESSMENT

This is a must-have for those who love Jimmy painting. This smells so oceany and refreshing. The material of this mask is quite special, it is not as slim as normal fiber, but not quite close to pulp yet. This says that it is made of silk fiber but I think it is firmer than the normal silk I see in My Scheming mask. Not as gentle though but can hold more essence. I have this mask on for 30-40 minutes. It is indeed very soothing and moisturizing as described. The ingredients are quite good, with a lot of soothing and moisturizing extracts. I can't spot any harmful ingredients maybe except for paraben but rest assured that paraben is safe to be used in cosmetics and is literally everywhere. I feel that my skin has that bouncy effect after taking it off. Of course it is very calmed and moisturized, maybe a little bit sticky with the remaining essence on your face but will go away with light patting.

Xaivita Goat Milk Whitening Cellulose Mask

CLAIMS

This goat milk whitening cellulose mask is enriched with goat milk secretion filtrate to help nourishing and improving elasticity of the skin. It can relieve skin from external damages, making it soft and healthy-looking. Comes in a convenient 3-steps: ampoule, cellulose mask and cream, it saves your troubles of applying multiple skincare products. One sheet mask to solve your nighttime hassle.

ASSESSMENT

I enjoy diary products, and of course goat milk is in that count. This goat milk mask looks quite nice and nourishing as well. It doesn't smell like goat milk at all. It's kind of hard to describe that smell, a bit acidic and strong. Not pleasant actually. I enjoy the texture of the ampoule - it is quite moisturizing and a good first-care serum to prep your skin for the next mask step. As for the cellulose mask, it is quite thin and gentle on your skin. The last step, which is the cream is a bit thick in texture and can be quite greasy if you apply this alone. I have this on for 30-40 minutes. I can feel that my skin is plumper and softer due to the hydrating effect. A slight improvement in skin radiance. The hydrating effect of this mask lasts maybe 1 day. I don't feel that my skin looks especially bright the next day.
